Scholarships

In order to apply for any of these scholarships, you must apply to Seton Hall University. However, you may apply for the scholarship prior to notification of admission. The criteria listed below determines eligibility only and does not guarantee receipt of the scholarship.

Angelo A. Rancatti, Jr. ('63, '68) Endowed Scholarship Fund

  • Deadline: January 15
  • Amount: $2000,

    Renewable

  • Eligibility: Incoming freshman and incoming transfers who hold permanent residence in Illinois, have at least a 3.0 GPA and a 1170 SAT or 23 ACT. Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial need.

  • Application Process: The application for this scholarship should be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid. Recipients must be supportive to the Music Program (including but not limited to participation in multiple ensembles, concert attendance, work-study or volunteer service, accompaniment for recitals and workshops). Preference will be given to students who endeavor to teach Italian/Modern language, pursue a career in opera/classical music or, pursue advanced degree in Italian.

Catholic High School Achievement Award

  • Deadline: January 15
  • Amount: $2000,

    Renewable

  • Eligibility: Incoming freshmen attending Catholic high schools with a minimum of an unweighted 3.0 GPA and a 1350 SAT (new) or 29 ACT as well as a strong record of involvement in their high school, community or church.

  • Application Process: No application required, automatically awarded to eligible student. The Catholic High School Achievement Award is a competitive scholarship awarded exclusively to incoming freshmen currently enrolled in a Catholic high school who have a minimum of an unweighted 3.0 GPA and a 1350 SAT (new) 1290 SAT two-score (old) or 29 on the ACT as well as a strong record of involvement in your high school, community or church. This $2,000 award is renewable for three additional years for a total award of $8,000 as long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and earns at least 30 credits annually. There is no application required for this scholarship; the scholarship is automatically awarded to students who meet the eligibility requirements shortly after admission.     1. Undergraduate student pursuing a B.A. in Communication or a Dual Degree Program (B.A. Communication/M.A. Communication)
    2. Priority is for a dual degree seeking student in Communication
