Students Make Sacraments of Initiation

On Sunday April 28, 2019, 23 students were fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church through the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation; Baptism, First Holy Communion and or Confirmation. The ceremony for the Sacraments of Initiation, was beautifully celebrated, at the 6 p.m. Mass in the Immaculate Conception Chapel: by Fr. Brian Needles, Fr. Paul Holmes, Fr. Lawrence Frizzell, Fr. Joseph Laracy and Father Philip Joseph CSJ.

RCIA students in the chapel. The students who were initiated had participated in the RCIA, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program on campus. The RCIA program is a two-semester program open to all members of the Seton Hall University community who are interested in becoming Catholic through the Sacrament of Baptism or by receiving Full communion with the Catholic Church. RCIA is also for Catholic students, who would like to complete their initiation through the reception of the sacraments of First Holy Communion and or Confirmation.
